CREATE THE ARTWORK OF YOUR DREAMS!!!

Mentoring Artists to Master Their Style

Your New STEP by STEP Blueprint to Painting Masterpiece after Masterpiece that Will Fly Out of Your Shop!

For the beauty seeking artist who is ready to level up her work without spending unproductive, directionless hours in the studio, getting stuck, and feeling inadequate...

Are you a PASSIONATE ARTIST ready to throw away the starving artist paradigm and sell your work without the hustle?

Imagine what it would be like to:

  • Create art that makes you leap out of bed in the morning with a giddy sense of excitement to get back into the studio.
  • Discover the process and expression that truly feels most like you, and flows from a place of ease and play.
  • Sell out a collection of work in 24 hours.

Let me paint the picture a little bit more...

Cha-ching! Another sale notification lights up your phone. You walk into your studio and look around with a sense of wonder and excitement. You are making the art of your dreams! You have more clarity around the direction of your work, which feels like a true expression of your soul. You have a stack of SOLD paintings waiting to be shipped out to loyal collectors all over the world. You keep pinching yourself that you get to do this for a living!

Psssst...It's not about selling as much as it's about releasing your art and staying in a creative flow.

What would it feel like to create authentic work that deeply resonates with who you are on a cellular level?

I'm Wendy Brightbill!

Paint Pusher. Messy Artist with the Paint Stains to Prove It. Process Innovator.

YOUR BIGGEST CHEERLEADER!!!

Because let's face it, being an artist is not for the faint of heart. It takes grit and spunk. And you are going to need to surround yourself with a tribe of peeps who will help you go farther.

I used to be a creative nomad, meaning I tried every style, genre and expression out there. I had to try all the things before I started to figure out what I really loved. I will never forget my big “A-ha” moment, when I started to recognize that there was a MAJOR disconnect between the work that I was making and the work that I was magnetically drawn to. In that moment, I made a decision to stop making art for other people and what I thought would sell and start making art for me and the process I loved making. It might sound counter intuitive to make art just for you in order to sell it. But your work takes on a new level of attraction when you decide to do what really brings YOU joy.

The truth is that YOU are the secret ingredient to making masterful art.

I am here to help you find your true expression.

Go from Hobby Artist to Professional Artist

Within Masterpiece Makers, I have outlined very specific steps designed to save you time and master your process.

Go from creative nomad (who can't stay in any one style for very long), to confident artist (who loves the art she is creating). All BECAUSE she has learned to embrace her own unique creative expression, and trust her inner voice.

Learn the formula that builds the skills you need to get better. Develop your own process. Discover how to take your work to the next level by going deeper into composition to upgrade your art. Create a collection of work. Sell with ease.

Say goodbye to:

  • The internal cringe that keeps you from setting foot in your studio.
  • The uninspired case of the Blah’s.
  • Not knowing where to even start.

My Superpower?

Helping artists find clarity around their own creative expression and innovating their process. No more bouncing around styles waiting to find the magic ticket.

Learn how to take style elements that you have learned along your journey and make them your own!

How can you take what you love from an artist and let go of what you don't?

HINT: It's all about breaking down each style element and how YOU choose to incorporate it into your process.

Can I let you in on a secret?

Artists who struggle to commit to one process or style rarely experience success because they fail to go deeper in their practice. Let’s face it...

A MASTER ARTIST REQUIRES INVESTING TIME DOING ONE THING!

But don't let the fact that you don't have huge blocks of time stop you from making art!

A 10 minute daily creative practice goes a long way if you have focus.

When you set intentional goals in your creative practice, your growth will be exponential.

What I hear from artists who don't want to focus on one style...

  • What if I get bored?
  • Will I lose my sense of freedom?
  • What if I spend a long time on a process that I end up hating?

All valid questions and ones that I have heard over and over.

I get it!

But guess what? None of the time spent building your skills is ever lost! It will always translate into becoming a better artist.

Sometimes you must go through those awkward phases to find the parts that truly resonate with you. At the very least, you will find your style through the process of elimination.

Trust me! I know this better than most artists!

Over the years, I have tried so many different styles. I even went through a season where I was creating digital illustrations of cute forest animals. I spent a good amount of time teaching myself Illustrator and making art that wasn’t really me. But the time that I spent doing this wasn’t lost, it only made me better at developing shape. This is a skill that is integral to the work that I do now in my abstract florals.

SEE? CUTE FOREST ANIMALS!

Does this sound like YOU?

  • You are ready to spend your time making art that truly lights you up inside.
  • YOU ARE DONE trying to be someone else.
  • You are ready to share and release your art out into the world.

Who is Masterpiece Makers for?

  • An artist who has made a beginning in their creative practice.
  • A hobby artist wanting to take their art to the next level.
  • An artist who is willing to invest time and energy into becoming better.
  • An artist who is done trying to be someone else.
  • An artist who is tired of the starving artist paradigm and/or the old school model of being an artist.

Who is Masterpiece Makers not for?

  • An artist who has very little experience committing to creative practice or has zero knowledge of process.
  • An artist who is not willing to do the work or willing to invest in themselves and their craft.
  • An artist who is not willing to ask the hard questions of what makes them tick and who is satisfied with only copying other artists.
  • An artist with zero experience, unless ready to apply themselves to art practice. Note: It will depend on the person. Some beginners might find the course helpful to have knowledge ahead of time before diving into creative practice.
  • Anyone who expects overnight success.

After years of trying to make it as an artist, I have found what really works for me to live in a creative flow. I am known for being highly prolific as an artist AND for developing a signature style. I regularly sell my artwork! On average, I sell around 30 paintings a month.

But I also spent years floundering, trying to be someone who I was not. When I really got clear on the type of art I wanted to create, and committed to going deeper in my practice, then my creative career exploded. I started selling my work left and right. Opportunities for teaching began opening up. I have learned so much over the years about how to get unstuck, stay inspired and make artwork that lights me up. I truly can’t imagine anything more fulfilling in life than living from this place of creative flow.

I LOVE helping other artists reframe the way that they see their art and their process. I remember what it is like to live as a frustrated artist who is paralyzed by fear and unsure of the way forward. I know the tools you will need to overcome the roadblocks that are keeping you from living your best life as an artist.

MINDSET is EVERYTHING and is a BIG part of this course!!!

Inside Masterpiece Makers

Masterpiece Makers is designed to take an artist through the entire creative cycle. We start in the rest stage and move through all stages of the creative cycle together as a group over the course of 12 weeks.

Included in the 12-week course:

  • Weekly content to work at your own pace with homework assignments. Hours of prerecorded content paired with worksheets and soul work.
  • Mindset coaching for each step.
  • Weekly Zoom session going over the content and giving one on one feedback.
  • Amazing supportive community where you can find your tribe and develop friendships that move beyond the course.

Module 1: Making Space for Creativity- Tools for removing all creative blocks that are keeping you from creating. Rest is probably one of the most important parts of the creative cycle. What steps can you take to make space for creativity?

Module 2: Creative Practice- Your creative practice as an artist is the foundation of everything in your business. Learn how to have more focus and purpose in your practice. Setting goals for getting better is everything!!!

Module 3: Process Innovation- I am obsessed with process! I love helping artists zero in on how to innovate their process to make it their own AND to keep their creative practice fresh and exciting. This is where you get to re-invent yourself while also staying true to your unique creative expression. So many artists find one way of making art and rarely stray from this process. But innovation is key if you want to keep your creative spark going and keep your audience intrigued.

Module 4: Editing and Critiquing Process- The editing process is critical to allowing your work to go from ordinary to extraordinary. There are so many composition tips and rules that can take your work to the next level. This module empowers you to not only edit your pieces yourself but also to get the help and support of fellow artists to truly make your work better. Sometimes you need another set of eyes to help you see what needs to be done in a painting.

Module 5: Collection Creation- Everything you need to know to put together a collection of work and launch it! Do you have an art show coming soon? Want to release a collection of work online? Need help planning out a cohesive collection of work? I got you covered.

Module 6: Sharing and Selling- Sharing and selling your work can be one of the most difficult parts of having a creative business. In this module, I will be covering how to push through fear and sell in a way that doesn’t feel salesy or yucky. I will also help you establish the systems that you need in your business to run a shop selling your work.

Number ONE reason to become a MASTERPIECE MAKER today…

The world needs your art and needs you to bring it into the world. You have a unique expression and perspective that can only come from You!!! I believe in you and what you have to offer.

Testimonials:

Masterpiece Makers by Wendy Brightbill is the most comprehensive offering to improve your skills that I have ever experienced. I can't fully convey the depth of information provided by this class. There are exercises to expand your skill set and thoughtful suggestions for improving your process. She helps you break down your practice and find areas that you can improve all while being so gentle and encouraging and funny!! The number of video hours of instruction is impressive and a phenomenal value. If you're on the fence I say DO IT! -Michelle

My biggest take away from the Masterpiece Makers was to not prematurely give up on myself. I was hanging on by a thread with my art practice and feeling hopeless when I started the class. In the beginning you said something like. "When you don't like the art that you are creating don't give up on yourself, get better" This sums up the most pivotal lesson in this class for me. I was too quick to judge myself and shame myself for not creating a masterpiece. I was walking away instead of taking the time to fine tune and look for ways that I could improve my work. You have an incredible gift of being able to slow down and thoughtfully examine. You taking the time in this class to help me examine and gently making suggestions that will change my practice for the better helped me to not judge myself so harshly. I do not have this gift. I am quick to judge myself and want to leave my art when it makes me feel bad. You are a kind of therapy for me. We are so incredibly different in the way that our brains work... While at the same time you're not teaching me to do what you do... You are teaching me to be the very best me that I can be. Your gentle and methodical nature is like meditation for my frantic and hurried self. I'm an instant gratification, get stuff done kind of detail oriented... You are different and I like what I learn from you and how I grow when I spend time with you. The depth of information and exercises offered to help me slow down and expand my skillset was huge. Breaking down my process helped me to see where I was getting stuck. -Michelle

The community was almost as helpful as my experiences in the actual class... I had several ladies private message me with encouragement and very respectful suggestions that changed how I was looking at my practice... the relationships that I developed just keep on giving to today!!!! -Michelle

Masterpiece Makers is a very comprehensive course, packed with extremely helpful instruction. My biggest takeaway is that focusing on one art genre and practicing it consistently, really helped me to increase my portraiture skills in a short amount of time. Wendy is a great mentor and guided me in clarifying my focus. My biggest challenge in this course was to set up a consistent practice that I would stick to. Wendy provides a lot of support in this area. Since the course, I still create regularly, even if I have a short amount of time. I approach my work very differently now since learning Wendy’s method of creating many informal pieces on paper. This has been so beneficial because creating several pieces keeps me from being too precious about my work and helps me to feel much freer to play and create. :I feel my portraits have changed by becoming more realistic than they were a year ago. Consistent practice has helped me to understand facial anatomy better, which has led to an improvement in my artwork. -Lisa

This was amazing! You obviously have poured your heart into Masterpiece Makers and have given us so much inspiration, information, and encouragement! You are an endless fountain of creativity and knowledge. Thank you! Lisa

Thank you Wendy! The invitation to self-examination has been huge for me. I haven't engaged in this level of thought about my work probably ever. I spent a good part of the day today, as well as last evening really studying work that I love, and why. I feel like what I actually want to create still evades me, but I feel like I am on the right track at least. So.. all that to say, this course has got me on a much needed track, I just have to trust the process! -Emily

The ways that I approach my work have changed in that I am better at recognizing when I get out of my process. Though I have SO FAR to go... When I'm creating out of mindfulness and paying attention to my process, I am able to do great things. When I'm creating distracted and unorganized I cannot accomplish what I need to create a masterpiece. - Michelle

Course Curriculum

Over the years, I have championed many artists and talked so many down from the ledge of frustration and overwhelm. I guess it comes with the territory of teaching other artists. It just comes naturally to me. I mentor a lot of artists (sometimes friends) on a very informal basis. If I could count the number of desperate text messages or frustrated direct messages I have answered over the years, it would be in the 100's I am sure. (Some of you might even be here.) I am so incredibly excited to finally put this program out into the world and help other artists step into who they were created to be. We ALL have a unique expression of creativity! I believe that it's part of my calling to help other women step into this God given expression and put their artwork out into the world. The world needs more art and beauty!!!
